Life Expectancy

Most patients grow up in the compound, arriving at the ages of two or three. They are free from experiments until the age of twelve. Due to the harsh treatments they are exposed to, patients don’t usually live past twenty and their life expectancy is no more than thirty years of age.

Daily Schedule For Patients

Patients are scheduled for anywhere from three to six experiments or treatments a week. Following an experiment, they are nursed back to health in the BCSC’s infirmary. It is highly expected for patients to follow their day to day schedules partaking in their daily activities. Activities may include but not be limited to:

Breakfast

Morning Classes

Therapy

Lunch

Afternoon Classes

Daily Checkup

Downtime

Dinner

Downtime

Curfew

The Patients are fed well and aside from the frequent and inhuman experiments, they’re well taken care of. Most scientists and guards don’t go out of their way to mistreat them so long as they behave.

Meals are nutritious and prescription meds are to be taken with nearly every meal and at certain time intervals between.

Classes often teach language, mathematics, arts, and physical education. Limited sciences may be taught leaving as much as the outside world a mystery as possible. Similarly, there is no history class.

Therapy is genuinely a safe place for the patients to talk about their problems. The therapists are not allowed to answer many of their questions but go to various lengths to appease the patients and look after their needs. Therapists are given power by the government to veto any treatments they see as too harmful or destructive to any certain patient (But that doesn’t always mean the experiment is not done anyways).

Daily Checkups assess the patient's health and ensure they are in prime condition, on their way to recovering, and are not inflicting any harm upon themselves.

During their Downtime, Patients are allowed to do whatever they want and be wherever they want. Many take this time to interact with each other or just sleep. They’re allowed to venture inside or play in the compounds various game or entertainment rooms.

ID Tags

Each Patient is required to wear an ID tag. These tags identify;

Patient Birth Date:

ID Number:

Status: - Freak or Stable

Gen: - patients who were originally part of Generation Xb will be marked likewise, others will be marked as Generation Xc regardless of their age.

Patients are always required to wear these tags and can be punished severely for taking them off.

Freak or Stable

Freaks are patients who have developed rare or supernatural abilities. Keep in mind these abilities are small or undeveloped. Freaks can be identified by the shock collars they are forced to wear and are generally seen as either outcasts or populars amongst their peers. (See General Information for More Info)

Stable patients may not even be mentally or emotionally stable at all. But, these are the patients who are deemed as ‘normal’, no special talents or abilities for them.
