It all started with Ahmet Benici. The World's lead scientist published his findings that the laws that govern our world would change so drastically human life would not be possible. It was his findings that urged the U.S government to begin a secret project, Project New World. The purpose of this project was to save humanity from its impending doom. So I invite you visitor, whoever you are it doesn't really matter. Come, sit down at your keyboard and tell me, what role are you going to play in this story?
Setting
There are many rumors and stories to be told about the city of Chase. Stories and tales rise from the mysterious forest that borders its northern side. There's big talk of some government project happening on the other side, but no one can know for sure. The small town has a rather sparse population of 20,000 people and is kept isolated from its neighboring town by Wyers lake.

His senses were completely overwhelmed with this strange transformation, namely his sight as the lights, as unbearable as they were before, were extremely blinding now and caused the beast to hiss in pain, clenching those glowing eyes shut as he rammed against the glass, trying everything in his power to escape. Unfortunately, the glass, though a bit cracked, still managed to stand up against his strength, being far too thick for him to completely break through. Which was probably good news for everyone outside. That wouldn't stop him though, Feral squinting to look in front of him before slashing at the glass with those powerful claws of his, immediately regretting it as he stood up on his back legs and tried to cover his ears, the ear piercing sound his scratching had caused echoing relentlessly through the vivarium.
Feral wasn't the only one panicking though, and had he been able to see, he might have noticed how terrified Benici looked all of the sudden. Instead, once the pain in his ears had become more bearable, the beast began running around again, using his momentum to slam into the tank walls again in desperation. It was only when he heard machines coming back to life did he pause, long ears perking as he looked towards the ceiling, mouth parting into a much sharper and dangerous snarl, his growls even more intimidating than before. And to make matters worse, they'd soon discover he'd become more adept at jumping, bouncing off the tank to try and grab onto the pipes that could very well be his one ticket out of there.
Thankfully, before he could even begin to tear his way through, the sedative began to take effect, his movement's becoming sluggish. His grip keeping him attached to the opening had faltered and the beast had crashed back down, barely catching himself as he reached the floor of the vivarium. Feral shook his head, growling in frustration as he tried to pick himself up, only to end up feeling dizzy. Soon enough, he ended up slumping over, the furry beast calmed down, but still awake. Barely. Whimpers and whines escaped him, Feral quite confused and unable to really move anymore. What was happening?!

Nails grating against the glass, it had to be the most terrible thing he'd ever heard. Granted it would be ten times worse for the patient, but Ahmet couldn't say he loved it either. His skin crawled at the noise, leaving an uncomfortable shudder to work its way up his spine. He didn't have the opportunity to cover his ears, he was far too busy hammering away at the control panel. His faculty's cries of alarm would alert him something worse had yet to happen, and glancing over Ahmet couldn't believe his own eyes. The beast was trying to climb out through the pipes? Could he even fit through them? Well, Ahmet wasn't going to give him the benefit of the doubt, quickly pulling down the lever to release the sedatives.
As expected, 4310258629087 would come tumbling down, obviously weakened. The fact he had cracked the glass was an impressive feat, but climb it? Ahmet was well aware that those whose eyes weren't trained of the monster before them were fixed on him as if everyone were asking the same question. What had they - more specifically he - done? The emergence of the freaks were interestingly enough, but with shock collars and other means they were easily controlled. But this? This was something entirely different and Ahmet wasn't eager to deal with the mess he'd created.
The guards would get the short end of the stick, as always. Motioning to them, Ahmet shook his head. "Wait until he's unconscious, then take him out of here. I don't care what you do to him as long as he doesn't get out of hand." The nap he'd been longing to have would be postponed as long as his body would allow it. Ahmet had some serious problem solving to do. Had he just changed the appearance of the freak, forever?
Feral clenched his eyes shut, not really having anything else he could do as he tried to relax. As if hopeful it was all some sort of hallucination from the chemicals, he opened his eyes again, still seeing the fur that completely covered his arm, claws having dug into the ground. He'd gotten a bit larger, his limbs stretching out and almost looking skeletal, making it easy to mistake his actual strength that even he was surprised to have possessed. Was it worth it though? He got his strength back, but something had gone horribly wrong to accomplish that. What would happen now? He didn't know, but the longer he sat there, the harder it became to focus on his thoughts, eyes drooping as they began to close. He'd put in one last effort to try and pick himself up, but it was hardly an attempt. He could only plant one of his claws onto the floor, trying to give himself steady ground to lift himself, but that was a struggle on it's own. In a few more seconds, he was out, the only sign that he was still alive being his steady breathing.
The guards, of course, were none too eager to approach but hadn't much choice in the matter. They even waited a few moments longer just to be sure he was in fact out before they'd make their move. One of them had even retrieved the forgotten collar for good measure, the group barely managing to fit the device around his neck. It was a bit tight, but they managed, not wanting to take any chances in case he were to wake up sooner than they were prepared for, especially now that they were closer and got a better look at those teeth and claws. Once they had him secure, bound with nearly everything they had, they ended up hoisting him out of the vivarium. They weren't even entirely sure what to do with him at this point, tempted to just toss the literal monster into a cage and be done with it, if not simply kill him, though that clearly wasn't an option. They seemed to settle on taking him to isolation, the most secure place they could really offer. And it was also the more discreet, as they certainly didn't want anyone seeing what Benici had created. Government get's word of this and they'd certainly have some trouble headed their way.
So with that in mind they tossed him onto a table, covering him with a sheet before they'd wheel him out to let him cool down, or whatever it was the head scientist had planned to do with him.
